Summer 2009 Update

It's been a while.... let's see, in the last 7 months Mac has gotten 5 teeth, is walking, is swimming, is learning to float, and is just a JOY!

Finn is learning more and more every day, and keeps us in stitches constantly. He has learned to swim and float this summer (Thanks Miss Jala!), and is working on liking the water! He LOVES anything ipod related- yes, he is in fact 4. Techno daddy, what can I say.

Sarah Ryann has graduated from 2nd grade, went to her first overnight camp (Twin Lakes, what great fun!), has lost 2 more teeth, is getting 2 more teeth, and is such a wonderful big sister!

We had Cameron for a week this summer- thanks Matt and Leigh! It was great, the kids played late every night, hunted for lightening bugs, watched movies, and had a GREAT time being together....

We have visited all the great grandparents, and have generally just had a great time being together. We have added a new addition - Parker- who came home the weekend before July 4th, after we found him abandoned at Fairpark, and he has turned out to be a great kitten... as you can see, he even lets Mac carry him around without any fuss. Who could ask for more? Of course, when he gets a little bigger he will be relegated to the outdoors along with the others (Purr, Nick, and Other Kitty- the new one...), but for now he enjoys life in the garage and kitchen.

Dan had a birthday, the BIG 40, which he has taken in stride... I think the prospect of a week in Maine has assisted in that endeavor. We are really excited about going in September, and so thankful that my brave parents are willing to keep all three kids for an entire week so that we can go. Thanks Mimi and Grandaddy!

Obviously, I am not a very good blogger as I do not update frequently, but stay tuned.... more is sure to come.

happy new year!

I can't believe we are almost finished with January- time flies when you are having fun.... We had a wonderful Christmas. The kids were at perfect ages to really have fun and celebrate. It was an amazing thing to be able to watch them together. Thankfully I was able to spend a lot of time with them during the holidays.

On January 12th Finn turned 4! I can't believe he is sooo big. We had a great time celebrating at GO with a few of his friends and our family. We welcomed new nephew Henry LaGalle "Hank" Fortner into the world about the same time. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

Mac is almost 9 months old. This last week he cut 2 bottom teeth, started standing on his own and is pulling up on everything. We think that he will soon progress straight to a walk from his inch worm crawl.

Sarah Ryann is still loving school, ballet and horseback riding. I am so proud of her. She is an incredible big sister to these little boys- so patient and kind... well, most of the time, anyway.

Dan is busy chasing after the kids during the day, and trying to keep everyone and everything straight.... an incredibly difficult job, and he is doing it wonderfully.... although we could use a few new one-pot meal recipes if anyone has any. I am busy with the kids, working, and trying to find time to read and ride when I can. The Lord has truly blessed us, and we are so thankful.
